Adverse Reactions The toxicity of theanolide often occurs at a serum concentration of 15-20μg/ml, especially at the beginning of treatment. Common symptoms in the early stage include nausea, vomiting, irritability, insomnia, etc. When the serum concentration exceeds 20μg/ml, tachycardia and arrhythmia may occur. When the theanolide in the serum exceeds 40μg/ml, fever, dehydration, convulsions and other symptoms may occur. Severe cases may even cause respiratory and cardiac arrest and death. Taboo It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to this product, those with active peptic ulcers and uncontrolled convulsive diseases. This product contains benzyl alcohol in the 2ml:0.25g specification and is prohibited for intramuscular injection in children. Precautions 1. Serum theophylline concentrations should be monitored regularly to ensure maximum therapeutic efficacy without the risk of excessive blood concentrations. 2. Patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, patients over 55 years old, especially men and patients with chronic lung disease, patients with heart insufficiency caused by any reason, and patients with persistent fever. For patients who use certain medications and those with reduced theanolide clearance, the maintenance time of serum theanolide concentration is often significantly prolonged. The dosage should be adjusted or the interval between doses should be extended as appropriate. 3. Theophylline preparations can cause arrhythmias and/or aggravate existing arrhythmias; patients should be monitored for any changes in heart rate and/or rhythm. |
