Varicella is a very common disease nowadays. It can cause some impact on people. Although chickenpox is generally benign, children still need to be taken good care of after the disease to prevent it from being transmitted to other people. Some parents think that it is better to give chickenpox an infusion. In fact, sometimes chickenpox does not necessarily need treatment. It can be treated with Chinese medicine, exercises to improve the body's immunity, oral anti-inflammatory drugs, and try not to give an infusion. Medication Varicella is a benign, self-limiting disease. After falling ill, the child should be isolated and given careful care to prevent complications. If the child has a fever, he or she can rest in bed. Oral antihistamines can control severe itching. Those with high fever may be given antipyretics as appropriate. For patients with severe illness, complications, and children aged 2 to 12 years, early use of acyclovir 20 mg/(kg·d) can alleviate the condition, promote rapid scab formation, and shorten the course of the disease. Adolescent patients can take acyclovir 800 mg/time, 5 times/day, for 5 to 7 days; valacyclovir (valaciclovir) 300 mg, 2 times/day, for 7 days; or penciclovir 50 mg, once every 8 hours, for 7 days. For patients who are resistant to acyclovir, foscarnet 400 mg/(kg·d) can be given by intravenous drip once every 8 hours until cured. For severe bullous hemorrhagic and gangrenous neonatal varicella, early intravenous drip of acyclovir (acyclovir), adenosine, interferon, etc. can also be used. Apply topically 1% phenolic calamine lotion, 0.5% phthalamide (phthalamide) ointment, or 1% penciclovir cream. For those with secondary infection, use pustular rash mud cream, dyshidrotic eczema mud cream, or mupirocin (Bactroban) ointment. Varicella keratitis can be treated with 0.1% iodine (Herpes Net) eye drops or ribavirin (Viravirin) eye drops. Traditional Chinese Medicine : Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment principles are to clear away heat, dissipate wind, remove dampness and detoxify. The prescription uses 10g of mulberry leaves, 5g of chrysanthemum, 5g of burdock seeds, 10g of almonds, 10g of red peony root, 10g of isatis root, 10g of honeysuckle, 10g of forsythia, 10g of raw coix seeds, and 10g of plantain. For those with fever, add reed root and gypsum; for those with severe toxic heat and many pustules, add large indigo leaf, coptis root and dandelion; for those with dry and hard stools, add rhubarb; for those with dry mouth, red tongue without coating and other symptoms that damage the yin in the later stage of the disease, add raw rehmannia and Yuanshen. Patients with mild symptoms can take Huabiao Pills, Yinqiao Jiedu Pills or Honeysuckle 30g, decocted in water. The following dietary therapy is recommended for dispelling wind and clearing heat : Honeysuckle sugarcane tea: 10 grams of honeysuckle, 100 ml of sugarcane juice. Boil honeysuckle in water until reduced to 100 ml, add sugarcane juice and drink as tea. It can be taken frequently. Take one dose per day, and one course of treatment is 7 to 10 days. The following dietary therapy is recommended for detoxification and dampness removal : Job's tears and red bean porridge: 20 grams of Job's tears, 30 grams each of red beans and wild yam, 100 grams of polished rice, wash and cook together, mix with rock sugar when the porridge is cooked and the beans are soft. Take 1 dose daily, divided into 3 doses. It is suitable for those who have chickenpox, fever, red urine, fatigue and poor appetite. Chinese medicine can treat chickenpox with Wuwei Xiaoduyin or Qingwei Jiedutang, and you can also use the following dietary therapy : Mung bean and kelp soup - cook mung beans and kelp into soup, then add sugar and drink; Barley rice porridge or boil 60-120g barley rice in water and drink as tea; Lentil porridge or applying lentil powder to the affected area can detoxify and promote tissue regeneration. Get more rest and pay special attention to skin cleanliness. If the rash is very itchy, you can apply calamine lotion or prickly heat water on the rash to relieve the itching. Wash your hands frequently to avoid secondary infection caused by scratching the skin. In terms of diet, you should eat more light and easily digestible food, drink plenty of water, avoid raw, cold and greasy food, do not eat spicy foods such as onions, ginger, and peppers. Drinking mung bean soup regularly has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxifying. |
