Is orthodontic treatment painful? Introduction to tooth correction methods

Orthodontics is a dental beauty project that many people have undergone, mainly because most people have problems such as crooked teeth or too sparse teeth. These problems can be effectively solved through orthodontic treatment. There are two ways to correct teeth: braces orthodontics and cosmetic crown correction. Generally speaking, both methods will cause discomfort, but will not cause unbearable pain!

1. Is orthodontic treatment painful ?

When correcting teeth, a very small traction force is used to slowly move the teeth, so it will not cause great discomfort to the patient, but the pain caused will also be within the normal tolerance range, so there is no need to worry that the correction will cause great pain. During the first few days of wearing braces, your teeth will feel sore and uncomfortable. At this time, you can eat soft rice or porridge.

2. Braces orthodontics

Orthodontic braces, commonly known as "braces", is a traditional method of tooth correction, usually by wearing wire braces to correct teeth. The requirements for teeth with braces orthodontics are relatively higher than those with cosmetic crowns. Usually, teenagers choose braces orthodontics more often because the alveolar bone of minors is still in the growth and development stage and has great plasticity, and can be rebuilt in a relatively short period of time. For adults, the bone development is finalized, and the time for correction with this method will be relatively long, about 2-3 years, and there is also a certain rebound.

3. Cosmetic crown correction

Cosmetic crown correction is a method of tooth correction specifically for adults. Cosmetic crowns do not require braces. It is a medical enamel repair of the original teeth. Finally, the original teeth are covered with neat and white cosmetic crowns without touching the tooth roots. The whole process takes about 1 week and is completely invisible. At the same time, while correcting teeth, cosmetic crowns further emphasize the effect of beautifying teeth. They can change the appearance and color of teeth and make them more beautiful. It is more suitable for adults, especially office workers and successful people. No matter which correction method you choose, you need to undergo a scientific and rigorous oral examination to determine the correction plan and program, so that the correction of teeth will be more secure!
