Children are getting vaccinated for the first time. Forcibly injecting vaccines that inhibit bacteria and viruses into the human body may cause temporary adverse physical reactions within 18 days of vaccination, especially fever and mild rash are the most common. If you have a fever after getting the chickenpox vaccine, you must first be careful about allergies. If it is serious, you need to go to the hospital for examination, take good care of your body, and avoid being exposed to the wind for a short period of time. Reaction Processing There is generally no reaction after vaccination with this vaccine. A few people may have a brief transient fever or mild rash within 6-18 days after vaccination, which generally disappears on its own without treatment. Symptomatic treatment can be given if necessary. In case of severe reaction/anaphylactic shock, medical attention should be sought. Initial treatment: subcutaneous or intramuscular injection of 1/100 epinephrine (the dose is determined by the attending physician), bronchodilators should be given in case of bronchospasm, and aminophylline, corticosteroids, and plasma substitutes can be given intravenously if necessary when shock occurs. Precautions (1) Ampoules with cracks, unclear bottle labels, or foreign matter in the bottle after dissolution should not be used. (2) Do not allow disinfectant to come into contact with the vaccine when opening the vaccine bottle and administering the vaccine; and the disinfectant should be used up within 30 minutes of opening. (3) Those who have received immunoglobulin injection should wait one month before receiving this vaccine. (4) Women of childbearing age should practice contraception for at least 3 months after receiving this vaccine. Vaccine costs The general price of imported varicella vaccine is 320 yuan to 350 yuan, and the price of domestically produced vaccine is 160 yuan to 208 yuan. Immune Effect The immunity provided by the varicella vaccine lasts longer. A survey in the United States showed that 93% of children had 94% of children and 87% of adults had VZV antibodies, and 94% of children and 87% of adults had cell-mediated immunity. A recent report on vaccination by Ampofo et al. showed that the incidence and severity of breakthrough varicella did not increase during the 21 years since 1979, suggesting that there is no significant waning of immunity after vaccination in adults. Six weeks after vaccination, the seroconversion rate was greater than 98%. For people over 13 years old, the seroconversion rate can reach 100% after two doses (with an interval of 6 to 10 weeks). Protection against varicella is conferred through immunity within 72 hours of exposure to natural varicella infection. |
