Chronic anxiety disorder refers to anticipatory anxiety, such as always worrying about bad things that have not happened yet, always being worried about the future, etc. So, what exactly does chronic anxiety disorder refer to?

Chronic anxiety symptoms

1. Multiple pains: Chronic anxiety patients have internal tension, which disrupts their daily habits and behaviors and causes excessive or inappropriate reactions to stimuli.

2. Fearful premonitions: Symptoms of chronic anxiety disorder often manifest as fearful premonitions, frequent nervousness with no fixed content, and excessive worry and annoyance about some insignificant trivial things in reality.

Restlessness and insomnia: Patients with chronic anxiety disorder have motor restlessness such as tremors, local discomfort such as chest tightness, and symptoms of autonomic nervous system hyperfunction such as palpitations, rapid breathing, pale complexion, sweating, frequent urination, and urgency to urinate.

4. Autonomic instability: In addition to anxiety, panic and tension, the symptoms of chronic anxiety disorder are that patients often feel that the worst is about to happen, and they are often restless, lack a sense of security, are worried and upset all day long, and lose interest in external things.

In severe cases, there is fear, and panic reactions to external stimuli are easy to occur, often accompanied by sleep disorders and autonomic nervous system instability, such as difficulty falling asleep, nightmares, easy awakening, pale or flushed face, easy sweating, cold limbs, numb fingers, muscle twitching, dizziness, palpitations, chest tightness or suffocation, loss of appetite, dry mouth, abdominal distension and burning sensation, constipation or diarrhea, frequent urination, irregular menstruation, lack of sexual desire, etc.

Some patients are anxious about the above-mentioned physical discomfort. They often feel nervous when checking whether their pulse is faster, whether their heartbeat has stopped, whether they are breathing, and whether their skin color has changed. During the examination, the patient is anxious, their eyebrows are tightly knitted, their muscle tension is increased, their reflexes are active, and they often have restless movements, such as blinking constantly, tapping their fingers, or pounding their hands and feet.

First of all, patients should get more rest in their lives. Sufficient sleep can reduce anxiety.
