Sometimes the cooked crabs are not all eaten, and many people will choose to keep them in the refrigerator and heat them up until they are cooked next time.

Can cooked crabs be frozen?

1. Generally, the cooked crabs that we can’t finish eating can be stored in the refrigerator! But the storage method is particular, so that we can ensure that we can eat delicious and healthy!

2. Cooked crabs can be frozen so that the meat will not shrink. When you want to eat them, just steam them in a steamer. Never refrigerate them, as this will cause the meat to shrink and become tough. Take it out the next day and steam it again. It is recommended to add an appropriate amount of minced ginger to kill bacteria. Because cooked sea crabs are poisonous after contact with fog, dew, etc., they must be cooked again in boiling water. It must be heated for another half an hour after boiling to prevent the microorganisms in the crab from being completely killed. This processing method ensures that the food is delicious, fresh, clean and safe. But if it tastes bad, it is best to throw it away. Although it is wasteful, health is more important.

How to store cooked crabs

1. When the temperature is very low, if you do not finish eating the hairy crabs and want to eat them in the next meal, you only need to cover the cooked crabs with plastic wrap, which can generally keep them fresh for 6-8 hours. If you don’t have plastic wrap, you can put it in a cool and ventilated place and keep it for about 6 hours. Be careful not to let it be contaminated by other things.

2. If you can’t finish eating the hairy crabs today, you can let them cool, drain, wrap them in plastic wrap, put them in the refrigerator, and eat them the next day.

3. If the amount of hairy crabs is large, wrap them with several layers of plastic wrap to prevent excessive water loss, and then put them directly into the freezer of the refrigerator. They can be stored for about two days.

4. If you want to preserve cooked crabs overnight, you can put them in the freezer of the refrigerator, but you must freeze them together with the crab soup. Otherwise, the cooked crabs will lose moisture and become dry, which will make them unpalatable and lose the freshness of the crab.
