What is the correct way to use nail-free glue?

Maybe many people don’t know about butyl glue, but if you have done home decoration or are engaged in this industry, you must know about nail-free glue, which is widely used in the building materials industry. In fact, it is a kind of adhesive. For example, butyl glue can stick two pieces of wood tightly together to make the wood stronger. But if you want to get better results, you must master the correct way to use rabbit glue.

First, dry bonding method (suitable for lighter materials and joints with light bearing capacity)

1. Squeeze out the zigzag adhesive along the bonding surface

2. Push the adhesive side toward the surface to be bonded and press the two sides tightly.

3. Pull the two bonding surfaces apart and let the liquid nail glue evaporate for 2-5 minutes

4. After 2-5 minutes, press again and tap lightly along the joint.

5. Temporarily fix the adhesive with auxiliary tools and cancel the auxiliary fixation after 24 hours.

6. The best bonding effect can be achieved within 24 hours and it will be fully cured within 2-3 days.

Second, wet bonding method (suitable for areas that are only subject to greater pressure, used with clamping tools)

1. Apply liquid nails according to the dry bonding method;

2. Use clamps, nails or screws to immediately glue the two sides or nail them tightly;

3. After the glue solidifies (24 hours), remove the clamp.

Third, instructions for use of nail-free glue

Clean the construction surface to ensure there is no oil or dust.

Cut the tube opening, install the nozzle, and extrude with a sealing gun.

Bonding methods for load-bearing materials:

Can directly bond load-bearing materials. First glue the load-bearing materials together, then separate them, wait for about 5 minutes to dry, and then press and tap the materials to be bonded firmly again to put them in place. If necessary, support it with pillars.

Fourth, construction steps

To ensure product quality, customers are advised to clean the surface before use, free of dust, grease, water and moisture; at the same time, ensure that one side is absorbent and solid to ensure the adhesive effect.

1) Cut the nozzle above the thread line to the desired size and angle (about 6mm);

2) Squeeze out one or two continuous strips of adhesive on the back side to be glued.

3) Bond the materials to be bonded for at least 2 minutes;

4) Wipe off the spilled glue with a damp cloth;

5) Depending on the base layer, certain supports or fixings are still required when gluing heavy objects.

Fifth, dosage calculation

A 6mm wide strip can be glued for about 10m;

Bonding time and strength: Final strength can be reached after 48 hours, but it may vary according to actual conditions;

Limitations: Cannot be used in damp or waterlogged areas, and cannot be used to install mirrors. In terms of materials, it can be used for polyvinyl chloride; but it is not suitable for polyethylene and polypropylene. This product is not waterproof and is not suitable for outdoor use.

Storage: Store in a dry, cool environment (21 degrees plus or minus 3 degrees), prevent frost;

Shelf life: 18 months.
