How to treat loss of sense of smell?

Many of my friends have experienced this phenomenon: suddenly they lose their sense of smell and become very worried, thinking they have some serious illness. Studies have found that it is not that the nose suddenly loses the sense of smell. Most of the time, it is caused by rhinitis. In this case, you must pay attention. When you have a stuffy nose, you must not blow it forcefully, do not eat irritating foods, reduce the number of swimming times to avoid infection, do not drink cold drinks excessively, and do not live in an environment with a large temperature difference. Only by insisting on doing these can you completely stay away from rhinitis, your sense of smell can really improve, allowing you to smell and eat more delicious food.

1. Do not forcefully blow your nose if you have a stuffy nose:

When you occasionally have a stuffy nose, do not blow your nose forcefully to avoid rupturing the nasal capillaries and causing nosebleeds. It can also prevent bacterial mucus from entering the nasopharynx and causing otitis media. You can wash your nasal cavity with water.

2. Don’t delay minor illnesses:

If you are sick, don't delay and seek treatment actively. Treat minor illnesses such as colds promptly to prevent direct transmission to the nose.

3. Don’t eat stimulating foods:

Fried, spicy, pickled, grilled and other stimulating foods are all hot foods, and the lungs open up to the nose, and the lungs belong to the element of metal, and fire overcomes metal. Too many hot foods will directly lead to excessive lung fire and aggravate rhinitis.

4. Patients with rhinitis should avoid swimming to prevent nasal infection:

Patients with rhinitis should try to avoid swimming as much as possible. When swimming, they should inhale through the mouth and exhale through the nose. If there is water in your nose, do not blow it out forcefully. Instead, jump on the ground immediately and exhale briefly through your nose to spray out the water.

5. Alternation between hot and cold is not intense:

Do not stay in an overly cold air-conditioned room for a long time, and go in and out of the air-conditioned room to prevent colds caused by extreme alternations between hot and cold. The lungs open up to the nose and control the skin and hair. The stimulation of hot and cold changes on the skin is often reflected in the nose. Causes nasal diseases.

6. Don’t drink too much cold drinks:

The spleen and stomach quickly absorb large amounts of cold drinks, which will be directly distributed to the lungs. The saying of "exploding lungs" among the people does exist. The "exploding lungs" that many patients directly experience is the result of damage to the orifice of the lungs - the nose.
