How to remove scars left by moles

Many people choose to remove moles on their faces for the sake of their own beauty, but no matter what method is used to remove moles, scars will be left, which will make their faces uglier than before. Many people cannot accept this. However, after this happens, it is best not to blindly look for treatment methods. After all, skin diseases must be treated with caution. In addition, some people will get better after a few days of rest after this happens. If this is the case, there is no need to take any treatment measures, especially antibiotics with very large side effects for treatment and relief.

Surgical skin grafting

Eligible skin from other parts of the body is cut and transplanted to the area after the scar is removed. This method is the most important one and can significantly improve severe scarring after transplantation, but it may leave scars on the part of the body where the skin is taken. The patient's own fat or dermis is usually used as the filling material. Generally, skin grafting surgery is charged according to three area specifications: large, medium, and small.

Loosening and reshaping

This is to change the incision into a "Z" shape after the scar is removed. This situation is most suitable for scars that have already formed webbed shapes. Webbed scars cause adhesions of the skin, especially hindering behavioral movements. Surgery is used to mobilize the skin tissue next to the scar to minimize the impact of the scar on body function.

Implanted expander

Two expanders (water bags made of silicone film) are buried under the skin on both sides of the scar, and normal saline is injected into them regularly to make the skin here bulge and have space for new skin to grow. After the expander is removed, the extra skin can be used to fill in the original scar. The buried expander method works best on the head or face because there are bones inside to support the expander and allow it to expand more outward. This is a more effective method for treating scars, but it takes a long time and requires at least one month of hospitalization. Since it requires two operations of implantation and removal, the use of expanders and hospitalization, the cost is also high.
