Take four or five cloves of garlic, peel them and mash them, add 100 ml of high-quality aged vinegar, and soak them for three or four days for later use. When using, take an appropriate amount of vinegar and garlic solution, soak the affected area for about 15 minutes, and then wrap the affected area with a cotton ball dipped in the solution. Do it once in the morning and once in the evening every day, and the diseased nail will be cured in about two months.

2Onychomycosis

Onychomycosis, the common name for onychomycosis, is a common nail disease, accounting for more than half of nail diseases. Both fingernails and toenails can be affected, but the incidence of toenails is higher. Director Du Xueqin said that onychomycosis lesions begin at the distal end, lateral edge or nail fold of the nail, and manifest as abnormal nail color and shape. The diseased nail plate loses its luster, becomes brittle, broken and falls off over time, and is mostly grayish white.

3. Why can garlic soaked in vinegar treat onychomycosis?

Vinegar contains acetic acid, which has the effect of reducing swelling and inflammation when applied externally. Garlic has inhibitory and killing effects on many kinds of bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It can be used externally to treat carbuncles, ulcers, stubborn ringworm, etc. Director Du Xueqin said that it is highly irritating to the skin. If adverse reactions such as burning, flushing, blisters, and stinging occur, it should be discontinued for several days. In addition, children and pregnant women should avoid using it. When applying the medicine, try not to allow the liquid to seep into the skin around the diseased nail. You can also apply protective ointment on the surrounding skin before applying the medicine.
