Mental illness has always been a very dangerous factor in people's lives. Having a mental illness will not only affect self-awareness, but also the lives of people around them. Therefore, people must not underestimate mental illness, otherwise they will suffer serious consequences. There are many types of mental illness. Let's take a look at the manifestations of organic mental disorders. Organic mental disorders are a group of mental disorders that are caused by a demonstrable brain disease, injury, or other damage. Mental disorders can be primary, such as diseases, injuries and damage that directly and selectively affect the brain; or they can be secondary, such as certain systemic diseases and disorders, in which the brain is only one of multiple organs or systems affected. ①Delirious state. This is a typical manifestation of this syndrome. The main features are: sudden onset, confusion, and often disorientation; the clarity of consciousness often fluctuates within a day, with brief intervals of relatively clear consciousness during the day, and consciousness disorders often worsen at night; often accompanied by rich, vivid illusions and hallucinations, most commonly visual hallucinations, which are terrifying; emotional tension, excitement, anxiety, fear, or instability; lack of attention, difficulty in association, and decreased comprehension; there may be fragmentary delusions and obvious psychomotor excitement. ②Subacute delirium. It is an atypical manifestation of delirium and is more common than delirium. The patient's disturbance of consciousness is relatively mild, and disorientation may not be obvious; its prominent manifestations are confusion, difficulty in thinking, incoherent thinking, repetitive speech without content, actions lacking purpose and meaning, and may have hallucinations and delusions. The course of the disease can last for weeks or months. ③Hazy state. The main feature is a narrow range of consciousness. Patients can carry out a series of purposeful activities, but it is difficult for the outside world to contact them. They seem to be immersed in dream experiences; sometimes they suddenly have emotional outbursts, resulting in hurting people and destroying property. The course of the disease is usually only a few hours or 1 to 2 days; after waking up, the patient will mostly or completely forget what happened during the illness. A typical organic stupor is seen in epilepsy. ④ Turbid state. The main characteristics are a significant decrease in the clarity of consciousness, an increase in the perception threshold, and a general weakening of mental activity; patients have dulled emotions, reduced speech, slow movements, difficulty in association, and often disorientation; their speech is slurred or there is continuous speech. |
