What are the sequelae of SARS?

Many people may not care much about SARS because the mortality rate of this disease is relatively low and there is almost no risk of death, so some people do not even take precautions and treatment diligently when they are sick. But this is only because of the lack of understanding of SARS. Its sequelae are very terrible. Severe cases can make people unable to breathe and eventually die slowly. Not only will they lose their lives, but the process is also very painful.

1. Bone necrosis

The most common symptom of SARS sequelae is femoral head necrosis. When the patient has this symptom, the bones in his body will begin to die one after another, such as the lunate bone or carpal bone. At this time, the patient is at risk of fracture even if he leans against the wall.

2. Cough

As the virus slowly invades the body, it will completely damage the patient's lungs. At first, the patient only felt some dry cough symptoms, which gradually turned into difficulty breathing. If not treated in time, the patient will die of respiratory failure. This is one of the most common symptoms of SARS sequelae.

Patients may also suffer from depression due to the aftermath of SARS, because this disease gradually erodes a person's self-confidence. Moreover, they have no confidence in the treatment, which causes them to become depressed and even their reactions become much slower than before. A small number of patients even show suicidal tendencies.
