How to treat spinal disease?

Spinal diseases can have a great impact on our lives and work, especially serious cervical spondylosis problems. We must pay attention to understanding the correct treatment response. Traction therapy, various physical therapy methods, and local massage methods are all relatively effective.

1. Oral drug treatment: Oral drugs are absorbed, digested, and decomposed through the gastrointestinal tract, and finally circulate through the blood before they can be delivered to the local area. The entire process requires passing through layers of barriers to reach the lesion site, but the efficacy of the drug is almost gone, so the effect is extremely slow and inefficient. In addition, the clinical application of these methods can only relieve pain symptoms, functional rehabilitation is irreversible, and bone repair is out of the question. Moreover, oral medications can cause great damage to the liver, kidneys, and gastrointestinal tract.

2. Traction method: Through the mutual balance between traction force and counter-traction force, the head and neck are relatively fixed in the physiological curve state, so that the phenomenon of abnormal cervical curve is gradually changed, but its therapeutic effect is limited and it is only suitable for patients with mild symptoms; and traction is prohibited in the acute stage to prevent local inflammation and edema from worsening; activities are restricted during the traction period.

3. Physiotherapy: Physiotherapy is the abbreviation of physical therapy. It is the application of various natural and artificial physical factors, such as sound, light, electricity, heat, magnetism, etc., to the human body in order to achieve the purpose of treating and preventing diseases. But its effect is also relatively weak and cannot provide a fundamental treatment. Frequent physical therapy can easily cause burns to the skin and even lead to cancer.
