What causes myasthenia gravis?

If you want to effectively reduce the impact of myasthenia gravis on patients, then you need to understand patients with this disease, because only by paying attention to the analysis and understanding of the causes can you better prevent it in life. In traditional Chinese medicine, qi and blood deficiency or organ dysfunction, as well as trauma and excessive fatigue may cause this disease.

1. Six evils

It is a general term for the six exogenous pathogenic factors of wind, cold, heat, dampness, dryness and fire. Clinically, more than 90% of myasthenia gravis patients have ptosis as the first symptom, and almost 100% of children with myasthenia gravis have eye muscle involvement.

2. Seven Emotions

That is, the seven emotional changes of joy, anger, worry, thinking, sadness, fear and shock. The onset of myasthenia gravis is also closely related to internal injuries caused by the seven emotions. Clinically, myasthenia gravis in children is often related to repeated fright or being naturally weak and crying; while in adults, it is often related to long-term mental stress, excessive thinking, etc.

3. Improper diet

Food is necessary for the body to absorb nutrients and maintain life activities. Improper diet, such as addiction to alcohol, fatty foods, or excessive picky eating in children, can cause the occurrence of this disease. Excessive drinking can easily damage the spleen and stomach, causing dysfunction of the spleen and stomach, internal generation of phlegm, and blockage of the meridians, making this disease more likely to occur. Children's picky eating often causes the body to absorb insufficient or incomplete nutrition, resulting in qi deficiency and blood deficiency, and being affected by wind evil and developing this disease.

4. Overwork

Myasthenia gravis is mainly caused by visual fatigue, excessive mental fatigue, and excessive sexual intercourse that damages the liver and kidney yin and blood, causing the liver to fail to control the tendons or causing internal liver wind. Among them, excessive use of eyes is the most common cause of this disease.

5. Trauma

The occurrence of myasthenia gravis has a certain relationship with trauma; especially patients with ocular myasthenia gravis often have a history of trauma to the head or eyes, which should be taken seriously during the diagnosis of this disease.
