What is the treatment for lichen striatus

The cause of lichen striatus is still not very clear, but it is more related to viral infection. In fact, in many cases, there is no need to strengthen deliberate treatment. Just pay attention to daily care, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and avoid spicy and irritating foods.

1. Lichen striatus is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with linearly arranged polygonal papules as typical skin lesions. The cause is unknown, but may be related to viral infection.

2. Most of them are self-limiting and no treatment is required. For stubborn cases or those with significant skin lesions, topical glucocorticoids or 0.1% retinoic acid ointment can be used. The topical medications are mostly glucocorticoid ointments or retinoic acid ointments, and the internal medications can be chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine. Mixin cream is used for skin rashes; contact dermatitis, dermatitis exudative, dermatitis susceptibility, tinea cruris, tinea manuum and pedis, etc. If you have skin problems, go to the dermatology department of the hospital in time. Do not take medicine blindly on your own to avoid delaying the condition. Eat more fruits, vegetables, and spicy foods. Do not scratch the affected area and keep yourself clean

3. The cause of lichen striatus is not very clear, so there is no definite effective treatment method. Usually you can use moisturizing methods to reduce the desire to scratch; you can also apply some retinoic acid drugs externally. However, you won’t see the results in a short period of time, so you need to be patient. In some patients, the skin lesions can slowly disappear on their own. Because this disease is self-limiting, avoid overly intensive treatment to prevent scarring. If necessary, apply 10% urea ointment externally. You can also use hydrocortisone cream or 2.5% white mercuric ointment for treatment. Local application of corticosteroids can accelerate the disappearance, or a simple and mild lubricating cream can relieve dry skin.

4. The disease is chronic. Usually, the rash will disappear on its own after a few weeks or months. After recovery, the skin will return to normal, or temporary hypopigmented spots may remain. In some cases, the disease may persist for a longer period of time.
