How to treat vertigo caused by ear stones

As the name suggests, ear stones are some small stones growing inside the ears, which we call stones. These stones are an important factor causing dizziness in patients. Ear stone vertigo has a great impact on the patient's life. Symptoms of dizziness often appear suddenly, making the patient unable to work normally. Severe cases may even have symptoms of vomiting. So how to treat ear stone vertigo?

1. Treatment of the cause

When the condition is not serious, the hospital will generally give some vasodilators, antiplatelet drugs, such as aspirin, and some anticoagulants, etc. If the condition worsens to suppurative labyrinthitis, sudden deafness, vestibular neuronitis, etc., after etiological treatment, although the cause is eliminated, the labyrinth or vestibular function is completely destroyed, and the vestibular function cannot be restored, and the vestibular center must be compensated to eliminate dizziness.

2. Conservative treatment

Conservative treatment mainly involves choosing the most comfortable position, avoiding sound and light stimulation, and relieving mental worries. If necessary, use vestibular nerve sedatives such as promethazine (Phenergan) and diazepam (Valium). Atropine, scopolamine, etc. are used to prevent vomiting, and diuretics such as furosemide and mannitol are used to treat dehydration. Ginkgo leaf extract, salvia miltiorrhiza, ligustrazine, etc. can dilate blood vessels. Pay attention to supplementing vitamin C and vitamin E. In severe cases, high-pressure oxygen or 5% carbon dioxide mixed with oxygen inhalation is generally used for treatment.

Three: Root cause treatment

Many times, vertigo is treated fundamentally with traction, acupuncture, massage, etc. There are also vertigo caused by other diseases, such as endocrine, hypertensive, and ocular diseases, which all need to be treated according to the cause. There is another type of patient who suffers from neurological functional vertigo. The main thing is to pay attention to drinking more water and not getting up too hard at night. Once it occurs, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible. It is caused by mental factors. First of all, the patient's anxiety must be relieved, and then the vertigo can be cured without treatment.
