What should I do if I urinate blood? How to deal with

If most people find that their urine is dark red when going to the toilet, then this situation can be judged as hematuria. Some people are not so obvious, but there are some red blood cells in the urine. This symptom also requires vigilance. Generally, if there is blood in the urine, it can be judged that it is related to prostatitis, cystitis, and urinary tract infection. In this regard, symptomatic treatment is needed, and the cause should be detected before treatment.

1. Prostatic hyperplasia: Irregular treatment can easily lead to traumatic bleeding

Kidney disease treatment experts said that hematuria is a common symptom of prostatic hyperplasia, which is mostly manifested as increased urination frequency, incomplete urination and shorter urine stream, and sometimes symptoms of hematuria may also occur. This is because as the prostate enlarges, the capillaries in the mucosa on the surface of the prostate become congested, dilated, and twisted. When the bladder contracts or the enlarged prostate is pulled, these capillaries will rupture and cause hematuria.

The root cause of hematuria in patients with prostatic hyperplasia is benign lesions of complications. In severe patients, hematuria may also be caused by urinary tract tumors. It is worth noting that irregular treatment often causes instrument damage, such as bleeding after cystoscopy, catheterization, and urethral dilation.

2. Cystitis: Be alert if there is blood in the urine

Most cases of cystitis occur in the bladder mucosal epithelium, which grows rapidly and is prone to ulceration and bleeding on the surface. Therefore, the most common symptom of cystitis is hematuria that can be seen with the naked eye without any sensation. This is a unique "abnormal urination signal" of bladder cancer. Hematuria often occurs throughout the entire process of urination, but sometimes it only occurs at the beginning or end of urination.

3. Urinary tract infection: Renal hematuria should be treated promptly

Renal hematuria refers to hematuria originating from the glomeruli. Clinically, it manifests as simple hematuria or hematuria accompanied by proteinuria, and is more common in patients with urinary tract infections. If kidney disease is not treated thoroughly, relapses occur repeatedly or is misdiagnosed or not treated properly, the kidney disease condition cannot be effectively controlled and will eventually lead to uremia.
