How serious are the dangers of head lipoma?

Lipomas are generally benign and are prone to occur on the head, back, breasts, shoulders and neck. If the lipoma is large, it should be removed promptly to eliminate the possibility of malignancy. In your daily diet, you should also be careful not to eat spicy foods or various irritating foods.

1. Lipoma is a common benign tumor, which is mostly caused by excessive proliferation of mature adipose tissue. It can grow in any part of the body, and is more common in the neck, shoulders, back and abdomen. It can also be seen in the limbs and internal organs. It often manifests as single or multiple localized subcutaneous masses, or coexists with hemangiomas. Unless the tumor affects local movements or causes pain due to nerve compression, there are generally no subjective symptoms.

2. For general lipomas, after a doctor's examination and exclusion of the possibility of malignant lesions, they can usually be diagnosed based on appearance and clinical manifestations. Some tumors that are difficult to judge can be removed and the results can be clarified through pathological examination. For multiple lesions, lumps in hidden locations can be removed for examination without complete removal. Lipomas rarely become malignant and do not cause much harm to the body. When the tumor is small and painless, no treatment is needed. If the lipoma is large and painful or affects the appearance, surgical removal or laser micro-incision removal may be considered. Patients with multiple lipomas need to pay attention to their daily eating habits, such as avoiding smoking, alcohol, coffee, strong tea, etc. You should also try to eat less irritating foods such as onions, garlic, cinnamon, greasy, fried, moldy, pickled foods, as well as irritating foods such as lamb, dog meat, and leeks.
