Symptoms of herpes zoster, early detection and early treatment

Shingles is a skin disease caused by a virus, and this disease is sudden. When it occurs, the skin will feel burning, and there will be symptoms of fever and fatigue. You need to take good care of this disease, eat more fruits and vegetables, and protect the wound surface.

1. Symptoms of shingles

1. Shingles usually occurs suddenly, and before the onset of the disease, the local skin will first have a burning sensation, accompanied by mild fever, fatigue, weakness and other systemic symptoms.

2. The skin papules in the affected area are arranged in a band-like pattern, appearing along the peripheral ganglion distribution area on one side, and then clusters of papulovesicles ranging in size from rice grains to mung beans are generated on the erythema, which quickly turn into blisters, gradually turn into blood blisters and even pustules, and are finally covered with necrotic crusts.

3. Herpes zoster often occurs in the "intercostal nerves" of the chest and back, the "trigeminal nerves" of the head and face, the "lumbar sacral nerves" and other parts, and is accompanied by local lymph node enlargement.

4. The prodromal symptoms of herpes zoster include pain around the nerve trunk at the site of the disease that lasts for about three days, and swollen and painful lymph nodes in the area.

5. When the patient's resistance is reduced due to leukemia or lymphoma, the rash is not only local, but may appear as scattered blisters, similar to chickenpox that spreads to the limbs or trunk.

Second, the method of herpes zoster care

1. Eat more fruits and vegetables: Your diet should include fresh fruits and vegetables, brewer’s yeast, brown rice, and cereals. Bowel cleansing and fasting are important.

2. Initial treatment: Using painkillers can temporarily relieve pain, taking vitamin C and B group can enhance the immune system and nerve function, or you can take lysine, which is an amino acid that may help inhibit the spread of the herpes virus.

3. Cold compress: Do not use medication casually. Improper use of medication will irritate the skin and delay recovery. A safer way is to apply a towel dipped in cold water to the affected area of the herpes. Avoid high temperatures.

4. Carefully protect the wound surface: the affected area can be exposed to sunlight for a short period of time. When you shower, gently rinse the blister area and avoid touching or scratching it. Avoid some analgesics and antipyretics containing paracetamol, as these substances will prolong the condition.

5. Use hydrogen peroxide: If herpes becomes infected, you can apply a little hydrogen peroxide without diluting it. Pour it out and apply it directly to the affected area.
