I believe everyone has seen the practice of cupping in daily life. It requires certain skills, otherwise it will damage the skin. For cupping, we should prepare relevant equipment, cotton balls and alcohol lamps. We should pay attention to the temperature and time of cupping to avoid burns to the skin. We should know that cupping helps to remove moisture and is beneficial for preventing colds, rheumatism, and low back pain. Tools/Raw Materials Cupping Set method A cupping set is used. First, there are three sizes of glass jars: large, medium and small. Different sizes of jars need to be selected according to the location where the cold needs to be driven away. For example, only small jars can be used for smaller locations such as the arms, while medium or large jars can be used for wider locations such as the back. Also prepare an alcohol lamp and cotton balls, and pour alcohol into the alcohol lamp. Light the alcohol burner. Use tweezers to pinch 1-2 cotton balls. If it is a larger cotton ball, one is enough, but if it is a smaller cotton ball, 2 are needed. Use tweezers to hold the cotton ball and dip it in alcohol. Be careful not to dip too much, otherwise the fire will be too big and unsafe. Light the cotton ball over the alcohol lamp. When the flame of the cotton ball is larger, insert the cotton ball into the bottom of the jar and wrap it around once or twice. Pay attention to the angle of the jar. If it is vertical with the bottom facing up, the fire from the cotton ball will be easily extinguished. It is necessary to ensure that the cotton ball fire is always burning. After taking the cotton ball out of the jar, quickly press the jar onto the area where you want to drive away the cold. You can see that the skin covered by the jar will turn red and slowly swell up. This means that the can has worked. If the can is loose and falls off easily, it means that the air in the can has not been driven out and it needs to be pulled out again. After pressing the jar, it will take about 10-15 minutes before you need to remove the jar. When taking it off, you can press the outer skin of the bottle's edge to allow air to enter the jar, and then you can pick up the jar. Precautions When burning a jar with fire, be sure not to burn the mouth of the jar, otherwise you will easily get burned. The location for cupping needs to be where there is more flesh. It is difficult to cupping at the joints. |
