What are the early symptoms of conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis is actually a contagious eye disease, and the onset is relatively rapid, usually occurring one or two days after infection. Early symptoms include red and swollen eyelids, excessive eye mucus, photophobia and tearing. Some patients may also experience headaches and fever.

1. Pink eye is a contagious eye disease. It usually develops rapidly. Usually, it occurs within 1 to 2 days after people are infected with bacteria. In the early stages of pink eye, patients often experience burning sensation in both eyes, photophobia, and red eyes, as if sand has entered the eyes. They also experience red and swollen eyelids, excessive eye mucus, photophobia and tearing. When getting up in the morning, the eyelids are often stuck with night secretions and the eyes cannot be opened.

2. Some patients with conjunctivitis will have small blood spots or blood spots on their conjunctiva, and the secretions will become mucopurulent. Sometimes a grayish-white pseudomembrane will form on the surface of the conjunctiva, and there will be grayish-white infiltration spots on the edge of the cornea. When the condition is serious, the patient will also experience headaches, fever, fatigue, swollen preauricular lymph nodes, etc.

3. Patients can rest assured that conjunctivitis will not affect their vision. However, if a large amount of mucopurulent secretions adhere to the surface of the cornea, it will cause temporary blurred vision or iridescence. However, after wiping off the secretions, vision will become clear again.

4. For the sake of our eye health, we must strengthen daily eye care and try to avoid infection with conjunctivitis. At the same time, we must pay attention to eye hygiene and health care to avoid mutual infection. If you find that you are infected with conjunctivitis, seek treatment in time to avoid greater harm.
