Prevent pseudomyopia, don't let myopia become real

Generally speaking, myopia among teenagers is mostly pseudomyopia, and excessive use of eyes is the most common cause. If parents want to prevent pseudomyopia, they must supervise their children, cultivate good study habits, and keep a certain distance when watching TV.

1. Children must be taught good hygiene habits from an early age. Cultivate their correct writing and reading posture, and avoid leaning over the table or twisting the body. Books and eyes should be kept at a distance of one foot. School desks and chairs should be suitable for students' body shapes. Don't read for too long. Proper lighting is necessary for writing and reading, and it is best if the light comes from the left. Do not read or write in too dim light to reduce the burden on students. Ensure 10 minutes of rest between classes to reduce visual fatigue. Actively carry out physical exercise to ensure that students have one hour of physical activity every day. Teach students to write words not too small or too densely, and especially not to write slanted or cursive. Don't write for too long. Do eye exercises carefully.

2. When watching TV, you should pay attention to the height of the TV, which should be level with your line of sight; the distance between your eyes and the screen should not be less than 5 times the diagonal length of the screen; when watching TV, you should turn on a low-power electric light in the room to protect your eyesight; after watching TV for 1 to 1.5 hours, you should take a short break, look into the distance, and do eye exercises; you should eat more foods rich in vitamin A, such as various vegetables, animal liver, egg yolk, etc. Myopia should be prevented and treated in different levels, and it should be treated early and in its early stages.

3. Actively correct and prevent further development. If you have already developed myopia, you should go to the hospital for an eye test and wear appropriate glasses. Pseudomyopia can be corrected by far-fog vision method, massage or crystal gymnastics, physical therapy, drugs, etc.
