1. Normal sweating is a physiological phenomenon of human metabolism, but "excessive sweating" is abnormal. Regardless of the cause of excessive sweating, Western medicine diagnoses it as "spontaneous hyperhidrosis"; Traditional Chinese medicine diagnoses it as "sweat disease." Traditional Chinese medicine believes that "sweating disease" is caused by weakness, so it is called "false sweating". There are two types of spontaneous sweating and night sweats. Spontaneous sweating refers to increased sweating while awake; night sweats refers to sweating after falling asleep that stops after waking up. Spontaneous sweating is caused by Qi deficiency, that is, spontaneous sweating due to Qi deficiency; night sweats are caused by Yin deficiency, that is, night sweats due to Yin deficiency.

The safest and most effective way to prevent potassium deficiency in hot weather is to eat more potassium-rich foods, mainly beans, vegetables, fruits, etc. Among legumes, soybeans have the highest potassium content; among vegetables, spinach, potatoes, yam, celery, lettuce, etc. have the highest potassium content; among fruits, bananas and oranges have the highest potassium content.

In addition, the body sweats a lot in midsummer, which will increase the excretion of water-soluble vitamins, especially vitamin C, which can easily lead to insufficient vitamin content in the body. Therefore, the human body's demand for vitamins in summer is higher than in other seasons. People can eat more foods rich in vitamin C and B vitamins. Generally speaking, when the body sweats a lot or the body temperature is too high, it is best to replenish water in small amounts and multiple times. This can slow down the body's sweating and reduce the evaporation of water from the body. The amount of sodium replenishment depends on the amount of sweating.
