How to control blood sugar after meal

Blood sugar is the sugar in the blood serum, and the effects of blood sugar in the body are very extensive. Many women's blood sugar levels change after eating, so you must pay attention to controlling this situation. When it comes to controlling postprandial blood sugar, the first thing to do is to strictly control your diet.

1. Strictly control your diet, pay attention to the quality, quantity and cooking methods of each meal, insist on eating breakfast mainly based on staple foods, and eat small meals frequently while controlling total calories. Chew slowly when eating and extend your meal time. Avoid high-calorie, high-fat foods, and eat more foods containing more dietary fiber. A bowl of oatmeal porridge rich in dietary fiber is a good choice when eating. Dietary fiber can prolong gastric emptying and intestinal transit speed, delay the intake of carbohydrates in food, and prevent blood sugar from rising sharply after meals. At the same time, dietary fiber foods can lower the level of serum insulin after meals. Under the same conditions, long-term consumption of dietary fiber foods can reduce weight.

2. Pay attention to the monitoring of postprandial blood sugar. After being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, you should not only check fasting blood sugar and urine sugar regularly, but also monitor postprandial blood sugar frequently.

3. Use drugs that can improve first-phase insulin secretion, or rapid-acting insulin analogs. This type of drug can effectively improve the secretion of early phase insulin. Due to its rapid metabolism, the incidence of hypoglycemia is greatly reduced and it has good safety.

4. Pay attention to controlling fasting blood sugar. For those who have high blood sugar after breakfast due to insufficient dosage of basic hypoglycemic drugs, adding intermediate-acting insulin before bedtime can help control fasting blood sugar and thereby significantly reduce blood sugar after breakfast.
