Alopecia areata generally has no symptoms, you may just accidentally find a missing patch of hair. Alopecia areata will not affect your health, but it will make the patient feel inferior, especially women who love beauty. Alopecia areata can be treated with some topical medications, and ginger is very effective in treating alopecia areata. 1. Topical medications for alopecia areata (1) Apply ginger externally: Ginger contains gingerol, which can excite nerves, dilate blood vessels in the skin and mucous membranes, and improve blood circulation. You can squeeze juice from fresh ginger, use a small brush dipped in the ginger juice to brush the bald areas, 3 times a day. Or cut fresh ginger into thin slices, heat it, and rub it on the affected area repeatedly, once a day. (2) Add Cordyceps sinensis to white wine and soak for a week. Filter the juice and apply it to the affected area. (3) Chuanwu powder: Mix raw Chuanwu powder with vinegar and apply externally. (4) Mash the leaves and branches of Vitex rotundifolia into juice, mix with vinegar and apply to the affected area. (5) Soak red chili peppers, fresh ginger, and Platycladus orientalis leaves in white wine. After one night, take out the juice and mix it with a small amount of white wine, and apply it to the affected area every morning and evening. (6) Garlic for external application: Garlic is spicy and warm in nature. It can dispel wind, relieve cold, calm the nerves, and relieve itching. It is a sulfur-containing plant volatile oil that can excite the mind, stimulate blood circulation, and induce sweating. (7) Platycladus orientalis liquid wine: Soak Platycladus orientalis leaves, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Cuscuta australis, and ginger in white wine (covering the surface of the medicine), and apply it externally after the medicine is gone. (8) Soak Psoralea corylifolia, Polygonum multiflorum, Cuscuta australis and Stemona tuberosa in white wine. After one week, take out the juice and apply it to the affected area once in the morning and once in the evening. (9) Put fresh Platycladus orientalis leaves, Kaempferia galanga, and alcohol into a bottle and soak for 7-10 days. Then dip the cut surface of ginger into the solution and rub it repeatedly and vigorously. (10) Soak Psoralea corylifolia, Eclipta prostrata, and alcohol for a week and apply externally several times a day. 2. Alopecia areata can be divided into three stages (1) Progressive stage: The scope of hair and skin damage gradually expands, and the hair on the normal-looking skin around the alopecia areata area becomes loose and easy to be scratched and fall off. (2) Dormant period: Generally, after 3-4 months, alopecia areata stops developing and can remain in its original state for a long time, with the hair around the bald area remaining firmly attached. (3) Recovery phase: Hair begins to grow in the hair loss area. Regardless of the stage of the disease, most patients do not have any subjective symptoms, but some patients may have symptoms such as dizziness, itching, back pain, tinnitus, and blurred vision. During examination, doctors may find that in a few early-stage patients, erythema and swelling can be seen in the bald area, and the openings of the hair follicles are clearly visible. |
