How to care for cardiovascular stenosis

How to care for cardiovascular stenosis

Cardiovascular stenosis is generally a disease caused by congenital developmental deformity. Cardiovascular treatment generally requires corrective surgery, otherwise it will pose a great threat to the heart. Care for cardiovascular stenosis is equally important and should not be ignored.

How to care for cardiovascular stenosis

1. Diet therapy

Guide patients to improve their eating habits while removing the cause of the disease and taking medication. The diet should be light, eat more fresh vegetables, melons and whole grains, eat less greasy and high-fat foods, such as animal oils, offal, fatty meat, fish roe, egg yolks and high-fat milk powder, eat more onions, soybeans, mung beans, peanuts, ginger, corn, celery, kelp, spinach, dates, etc. which have the effect of lowering blood lipids.

2. Rational use of immunosuppressants

Because immunosuppressants are one of the important causes of hyperlipidemia, the rational use of immunosuppressants is an important measure to prevent and treat hyperlipidemia. When renal transplant recipients withdraw adrenal cortical hormones and continue to use CsA and azathioprine, plasma total cholesterol and LDL-C can be reduced by 17% and 16%, respectively, while HDL-C can also be reduced by 18%.

3. Lipid-lowering drugs

According to the recommendations of the US NCEP, there are three types of cholesterol-lowering drugs as the first choice: HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, fibric acid derivatives, and niacin. Fibric acid derivatives are mainly used in patients with particularly high plasma triglycerides, and antioxidants are only used for those who cannot tolerate other cholesterol-lowering drugs. When using the above drugs, interactions with immunosuppressive drugs should be considered.

4. Health education

Exercise plays an important role in the function of the circulatory system and in regulating blood lipids. For people whose blood lipids are not too high, various activities can be unrestricted. However, for those with affected organs, especially insufficient blood supply to the heart and obvious symptoms, their activities should be controlled. After drug treatment and improvement of their condition, they can gradually increase their activities to prevent accidents.

5. Take tonics in moderation

Our people have a long-standing habit of taking tonic food in winter. People do less exercise in winter, and consuming a large amount of hot food and nourishing medicinal liquor can easily cause increased blood lipids and induce cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Therefore, winter tonic food must be taken according to personal constitution.
