What is cardiovascular angiography

What is cardiovascular angiography

Generally speaking, cardiovascular angiography is a test method used to detect whether the blood circulation in the heart and large blood vessels is normal. It can also be used to detect some diseases. Currently, the technology of cardiovascular angiography is mature and widely used.

Cardiovascular angiography is a procedure in which a contrast agent containing organic compounds that is transparent under X-rays is rapidly injected into the bloodstream, allowing the heart and large blood vessel cavities to be visualized under X-rays. At the same time, methods such as rapid radiography, television photography, or tape recording can be used to record the development process of the heart and large blood vessel cavities. From the development results, the order of blood flow containing the contrast agent and the filling status of the heart and large blood vessels can be seen, thereby understanding the physiological and anatomical changes in the heart and large blood vessels. It is a very valuable method for diagnosing cardiovascular disease.
