Symptoms and clinical manifestations of esophageal varicose veins should be known

Esophageal varices is a very serious disease. Patients will experience symptoms of vomiting blood. Patients often have hepatitis and cirrhosis. Severe esophageal varices can cause shock in patients. It is important to maintain a good mood, seek timely treatment, pay attention to dietary hygiene, and exercise more.

1. Clinical manifestations

The most prominent symptom of esophageal varicose bleeding is vomiting blood, which often occurs suddenly, with fresh blood gushing out and even in the form of a spurt. Therefore, in acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding, if the patient suddenly goes into shock, it is often clinically caused by esophageal variceal bleeding due to portal hypertension. If the patient has a history of hepatitis, schistosomiasis or chronic alcoholism, and physical examination reveals spider angiomas, distended abdominal wall veins, splenomegaly or even ascites, and liver function tests are abnormal, it often indicates cirrhosis and portal hypertension.

2. Health Guidance

1. Maintain a good mood. Patients should be educated to build up confidence in overcoming the disease, cultivate a positive, optimistic and open-minded attitude towards life, and treat the disease correctly.

2. Pay attention to food hygiene, choose fresh food, wash tableware and disinfect it regularly. Do not eat leftovers, moldy or spoiled food. Develop good eating habits, chew slowly when eating, rest quietly for 30 minutes to an hour after meals, do not eat too cold, too hot or irritating food, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits to ensure the supply of vitamins.

3. Do appropriate physical exercise to enhance your physical fitness, arrange your work and rest time reasonably, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, abstain from smoking and drinking, and avoid eating foods that irritate the stomach.
