Drink water and eat lilies, preferably after dinner and before going to bed.

4. Water chestnut and lily soup (specially for: cough)

Ingredients: 30 grams of water chestnuts (water chestnuts), 1 gram of lily, 1 pear, and appropriate amount of rock sugar.

Treats cough due to phlegm heat, yellow and thick phlegm, and sore throat. Used for infants with chronic tracheitis and phlegm-heat symptoms.

Note: It is not suitable for people with spleen deficiency, loose stools, and clear sputum. It is not recommended for infants with blood deficiency and weak constitution.

5. Steamed pear with Fritillaria cirrhosa (specially for: cough)

Ingredients: one snow pear or duck pear, 6 grams of Fritillaria cirrhosa, and 20 grams of rock sugar.

Preparation and administration: Cut the pear at the stem, hollow out and remove the core, then grind the Fritillaria cirrhosa into powder. Put it into the pear and use a toothpick to restore and secure the handle. Put rock sugar in a large bowl, add a small amount of water, and steam for half an hour.

Note: This is a commonly used folk prescription. Infants with long-term cough are mostly suffering from chronic bronchitis. This prescription is mild in nature and suitable for weak children with long-term cough. It is not suitable for patients with external infection. This prescription uses authentic medicinal material Fritillaria cirrhosa for its best effect.

6. Vinegar Drink (Specially for: Cough)

Ingredients: appropriate amount of white vinegar.

Preparation and administration: Boil the vinegar and let it cool for later use.

Take one teaspoon each time, swallow slowly, several times a day.

Indications and functions: Vinegar tastes sour and sweet, and is neutral in nature. It has the functions of dispersing blood stasis, detoxifying, and reducing swelling. It is used to treat pharyngitis and cough, and is effective in eliminating throat itching. The child was seen coughing due to itching, and the coughing was worse when exposed to wind. As the saying goes, "If you have an itch, you will cough and it can't be stopped."
