What are the consequences of exercise-induced asthma

The harm of exercise-induced asthma is quite serious because this disease has not been cured and recurs repeatedly, which is a serious physical and mental torture for patients. If not treated properly, it may even develop into bronchiectasis.

1. Exercise-induced asthma is delayed in healing and recurs repeatedly, which can easily cause great mental and physical pain to patients. As the disease progresses, oxygen metabolism disorders worsen. These children often show short stature, malnutrition, hunchbacks, and often present a state similar to that of a meeting. Some patients with more serious conditions have developed pessimism, disappointment, and even self-abandonment. Due to insufficient attention, patients cannot receive timely and reasonable treatment, and some develop bronchiectasis, mostly in the right middle lobe of the lung.

2. Some develop into bronchiectasis, occasionally accompanied by mediastinal emphysema or pneumothorax. In severe cases, there are varying degrees of cardiopulmonary damage and even cor pulmonale.

3. In fact, exercise-induced asthma not only causes physical damage to patients, but also psychological damage to patients. Many patients with exercise-induced asthma will be afraid of exercise and avoid exercise. This will gradually reduce the body's resistance and is not beneficial to the recovery of the disease.

4. Use preventive medication before exercise. Usually start inhaling short-acting p-receptor agonists 15 minutes before exercise, such as salbutamol aerosol, 200 micrograms each time, terbutaline aerosol, 25 each time. 1. 500 micrograms, sodium velvet picrate aerosol, 2 times each time. 1-40 micrograms can effectively prevent the onset of exercise-induced asthma. Oral medication can also be taken, but the time of taking the medication should be earlier. Usually, pZ receptor agonists are taken orally 2 hours before exercise, such as salbutamol 4 mg and terbutaline 2.5 mg, which can also prevent the onset of exercise-induced asthma. The leukotriene receptor antagonist zabilast also has a good preventive effect, taking 20-40 mg orally 2-3 hours before exercise.

5. Do warm-up exercises before exercise. Warming up and preparatory exercises before exercise can prevent and reduce the onset of exercise-induced asthma.
