How to massage the pericardium meridian, three steps of massage

Massaging the pericardium meridian can relieve stress and fatigue caused by life, improve sleep quality and other benefits. However, I believe that many people do not know that if you massage the pericardium meridian correctly, the acupoints of massage are very important. You must press the correct acupoints to achieve a good effect. Now I will share with you how to massage the pericardium meridian acupoints.

Step 1: Massage Kunlun acupoint

The Kunlun point is located in the depression behind the ankles on the outside of both feet (as shown in the picture). It is an acupoint on the bladder meridian. The bladder meridian is the outlet for the body's meridians to eliminate waste, just like the body's large sewer. The corresponding meridians of the twelve internal organs of the body have corresponding acupoints on the bladder meridian. In actual operation, it is found that massaging the Kunlun point can effectively help the pericardium meridian to be unobstructed, and the effect will be better if the Kunlun point is massaged first and then other related acupoints of the pericardium meridian. When there is too much pericardial effusion, what accumulates is the body's waste water. Massaging the Kunlun point on the bladder can effectively clear the drainage outlet. When massaging this empty space, you can use the second knuckle of your index finger, or you can use a massage stick. The massage time is about 1-3 minutes on each side. If there is severe pain, the massage time will need to be longer. Normally, the absence of pain means that the meridians should be unobstructed, but when the body's blood qi is very low, the body's nervous system will be sluggish, resulting in no pain even if the meridians are blocked.

Step 2: Massage the Tanzhong point

The Danzhong point is on the Renmai meridian on the midline of the front of the body, where the line connecting the two nipples intersects the midline of the front of the body. You can use your thumb to massage the Danzhong point. When there is too much pericardial effusion, this massage will cause strong pain. Massage for 1-3 minutes each time. You don't need to use too much force, otherwise after a massage, it will be painful when you touch it for the next few days. Mr. Wu said that if you massage this area, you will hear the sound of flowing water under the ribs.

Step 3: Massage the pericardium meridians of both hands

Massage the pericardium meridian, usually using your thumb to massage the acupoints one by one. The pericardium meridian is on the center line of the inner sides of both arms. Massage starts from the Zhongchong point, followed by nine points: Laogong, Daling, Neiguan, Jianshi, Ximen, Quze, Tianquan, and Tianchi. For inexperienced people, locating acupoints is a very troublesome thing. Since everyone's height and hand and foot lengths are different, acupoints cannot be measured with an ordinary ruler. Traditional Chinese medicine uses the length of a certain part of each person's body as a measuring scale. You can use the first section of your thumb as one inch in length, or you can use the second section of your middle finger as one inch in length. When you first start, try pressing around the same position. If you press a painful spot, it should be the correct acupoint. It will become easy to find after a while.

In fact, according to the summary in Mr. Wu’s book, the focus of pericardium meridian massage is not on the pericardium meridian, but on Kunlun point and Tanzhong point. The particularly painful areas are the focus of massage. You don't have to press the entire pericardium meridian every time. You can press the Kunlun point first, then the Tanzhong point, and then start from Zhongchong and select the more painful points and press upwards one by one. If you don't have enough time, you can stop after pressing the Kunlun and Tanzhong points. If you are in a good mood, pressing the Quze point on the elbow will be enough. If you want to be more convenient, doing a few hundred hand-shaking exercises every day can also achieve a similar massage effect.
