Avoidant personality is caused by an inferiority complex. When facing challenges, patients often adopt an avoidant or incompetent attitude, which makes people very distressed. So besides this, what other symptoms does avoidant personality have? Most people don't really understand this. In fact, in daily life, avoidant personality is manifested in the following 7 symptoms. Avoidant personality is also called escaped personality. Its biggest characteristics are behavioral withdrawal and psychological inferiority. When faced with challenges, it tends to adopt an avoidant attitude or be unable to cope with them. In Buddhism, there is the concept of transcendence and the human world. The so-called transcendence means staying away from the human world and abstaining from human ethics and emotions, so that one can achieve the right result; while the human world refers to saving all sentient beings. Throughout history, many people have become monks in order to escape suffering, becoming hermits with dead hearts or lonely and aloof. From the perspective of modern psychology, hermits who retreat to the wilderness and live away from worldly affairs are likely to be people with avoidant personality. In modern society, it is difficult for hermits to find a quiet paradise, so they often close their minds, avoid close contact with others, and only seek self-peace. It is worth noting that the desire for meaningful solitude and temporary avoidance of the world is not a pathological condition. On the contrary, people with truly avoidant personality do not dare to go deep into their own hearts. Their avoidance is characterized by compulsion, blindness and irrationality. Avoidant personality is also called escaped personality. Its biggest characteristics are behavioral withdrawal and psychological inferiority. When faced with challenges, it tends to adopt an avoidant attitude or be unable to cope with them. The American Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders defines avoidant personality traits as: 1. Easily hurt by criticism or disapproval from others. 2. Apart from close relatives, there are no good friends or confidants (or only one). 3. Generally unwilling to get involved in other people's affairs unless they are sure they are welcome. 4. Behavioral withdrawal, always trying to avoid social activities or work that requires interpersonal interaction. 5. Psychologically inferior, always keeping silent in social situations, afraid of being laughed at, unable to answer questions. 6. Sensitive and shy, afraid of being embarrassed in front of others. 7. Always exaggerate the potential difficulties, dangers, or possible risks when doing ordinary things that are out of your routine. As long as four of the above items are met, a person can be diagnosed with avoidant personality. |
