Have you noticed these two side effects of double eyelid surgery?

Every female friend likes to have a pair of beautiful big eyes and chooses double eyelid surgery without hesitation. There is nothing wrong with being beautiful, but sequelae also appear. Epicanthus often extends from the upper eyelid to the inner canthus and is bilateral; the orbital palpebral groove is too deep, giving people a ferocious feeling.

1. Epicanthus: The so-called "epicanthus" is a vertical semi-lunar skin fold covering the inner canthus, which is often formed by the continuation of the upper eyelid to the inner canthus and is bilateral. Epicanthus is closely related to racial differences. It is most commonly found among the Mongoloid race in Central Asia, North Asia, East Asia and other regions, so it is also called "Mongolian fold". The epicanthus is a vertical skin wrinkle that naturally creates skin tension in the vertical direction, while the wrinkle formed by double eyelids is horizontal, and when the eyes are opened to form double eyelid grooves, it is also a vertical pulling force. Therefore, the inner canthus eyelid line is formed on the skin hyperplasia, and due to the effect of tension, the eyelid groove is often not formed.

If the eyelids are forcibly formed, excessive tension will cause a feeling of heaviness when opening the eyes, long-term fatigue, and pseudoptosis. In addition, due to the effect of tension, more obvious scars will be formed. If the double eyelid line is formed under the excess skin, the inner side of the double eyelid crease cannot be seen due to the cover of the excess skin, forming the so-called "half-double" eyelids, which is not beautiful in appearance. Therefore, when performing double eyelid surgery, if the epicanthus folds are severe, the folds should be corrected at the same time as the double eyelid surgery. This will achieve a good double eyelid effect and widen the palpebral fissure at the same time.

2. Too deep orbital palpebral groove: Too deep orbital palpebral groove is actually what people often call "bulging eyes". The eyeballs of this type of eyelids are relatively protruding. If the double eyelid line is wider, it will make the eyeballs more prominent, giving people a fierce feeling. Because this type of eyelid has less and loose subcutaneous tissue and the orbicularis oculi muscle is underdeveloped, it is possible to form a "triple eyelid" during double eyelid formation, and it may also cause incomplete eyelid closure. Therefore, it is best not to undergo double eyelid surgery for this type of eyelid shape. If surgery is required, the width of the double eyelid should be designed to be narrower than normal.

After reading the above article, do you now have a certain understanding of the sequelae of double eyelid surgery? I hope everyone can pay attention to plastic surgery and never take it lightly. In order to avoid the occurrence of these sequelae, I hope everyone will choose a regular and professional plastic surgery institution and experienced experts for surgery, so that the success rate of double eyelid surgery will be much higher.
