Symptoms of psoriasis, different manifestations at different times

Psoriasis is a non-contagious but hereditary skin disease. In the early stage, the lesions are the size of a needle tip or a mung bean, mostly light pink or bright red papules or maculopapules. In the progressive stage, the original lesions continue to expand, and new lesions continue to appear with more scales, which cover the center of the lesions. The lesions are red with an inflammatory halo around them.

1. Symptoms of early psoriasis

In the early stages of psoriasis, the rashes are the size of a needle tip or a mung bean, mostly light red or bright red papules or maculopapules, with clear boundaries and obvious inflammation. The surface is covered with multiple layers of mica-like dry silvery-white scales, and underneath there is a layer of light red, shiny, translucent membrane. When the film is scraped off, punctate bleeding can be seen. This is the symptom of early psoriasis.

2. The site of psoriasis

Psoriasis does not have a fixed site of onset and can occur in various parts of the human body. The most common areas are the scalp and extensor sides of the limbs. The lesions can appear in various forms such as guttate, coin-shaped, map-shaped, gyricular or pestilential. Dandruff is a physiological phenomenon of metabolism and self-renewal of the scalp skin, and increased dandruff is the most obvious symptom of psoriasis and is often the first to appear. According to relevant data, more than 80% of psoriasis patients initially have symptoms of increased dandruff.

3. The condition of psoriasis varies greatly

The condition of psoriasis varies greatly, and patients will have different symptoms at different stages of the disease. Progressive stage: Its characteristics are that the original skin lesions continue to expand, new skin lesions continue to appear with more scales, and cover the center of the lesions. The lesions are red with inflammatory redness around them. Quiescent stage: Skin lesions stop developing and no new lesions appear. Scales become noticeably thicker and fall off easily. The shape of the lesions does not change significantly, and there is no obvious regression or reduction. Remission stage: The skin lesions are in a remission state, the lesions become thinner, the scales decrease, the color of the lesions becomes lighter or dark red, and some lesions begin to regress from the center or edge.

Psoriasis vulgaris is a common type among many types. This type of disease is relatively mild and easier to treat. Therefore, patients need to know their own disease type first, and then carry out comprehensive treatment according to their own condition. I hope that every patient can observe more in daily life.
