What are the ways to promote blood circulation

Slow blood circulation is not good for your health and may lead to diseases such as cerebral infarction. If you want to promote blood circulation, you can choose some massage or other methods, such as acupressure, aerobic exercise, and walking on gravel roads to promote blood circulation in your feet.

1. Heel lift

In our daily life, heel lifting is a very simple exercise and can be done anytime and anywhere, such as while waiting for a bus or watching TV. If you persist in doing it for a long time, it can strengthen the muscles of your legs, feet and waist.

The specific method is to align your feet and put them together, keep your body upright, then slowly raise your heels until they cannot be raised any further, hold for a few seconds and then slowly lower your heels. If you keep doing this for a long time, it will be very effective.

2. Up and down ladder method

If you are unable to go out for a walk due to weather or other reasons, you can make full use of existing materials at home, such as filling a waste cardboard box with books to make small steps and doing stepping exercises. The specific method is to do it up and down within 2 seconds, and continue for 3 minutes.

Rest for a while before continuing, and increase the speed and frequency appropriately according to your health condition. You can also exercise by taking the stairs.

3. Hot and cold bath method

The specific method is to start with a cold water bath, repeatedly alternate between soaking the body in cold and hot water, and finally end with a cold water bath. Hot and cold baths have many functions, the most important of which is to strengthen the function of arteriovenous anastomosis.

Repeatedly soaking the body in cold and hot water can stimulate the arteriovenous anastomosis, restore dysfunctional blood vessels to normal, and promote blood circulation throughout the body. After the capillaries and arteriovenous anastomoses stimulate each other, the functions of both can be improved, thereby promoting blood circulation.

4. Press the acupoint method

There are three acupoints in our body. It is recommended that you massage them more often, which can help dredge the meridians, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, and keep out the cold and keep warm.

The first is the Dazhui point, which is located below the most protruding bone behind the neck. Patients with lumbar spondylosis can rub their waist. The spine is the site where the Du meridian runs in acupuncture, and the Du meridian can regulate the yang meridians of the whole body. Massaging the neck and waist can dredge the Du meridian and regulate qi and blood. The specific operation is to rub your hands together to warm them up and press the neck and waist tightly, rubbing vigorously about 30 times. Patients with cervical spondylosis can massage the Dazhui point frequently.

Others are Hegu and Zusanli, both of which are points on the Yangming meridian. Yangming is a meridian with abundant qi and blood, and is of great importance for the smooth flow of qi and blood in the meridians. If you can insist on massaging Hegu, Zusanli and other acupoints every day, you can also increase the body's resistance and improve the body's ability to withstand cold.

5. Aerobic exercise

Jogging, brisk walking, skipping rope, disco dancing, Tai Chi, etc. will all make all parts of the body move and promote blood circulation, but do not exercise excessively. High-intensity exercise and excessive sweating will "vent yang energy" and have the opposite effect.

6. Wear cotton socks

Pure cotton socks are not only soft and comfortable

Pure cotton socks are not only soft and comfortable, but also can absorb foot sweat, so your feet stay dry and comfortable all day long.

7. Eat calorie-enriching foods

When the weather is cold, you should take supplements to increase calories and improve cold hands and feet. The north is cold in winter, so you can eat warm foods, such as beef, mutton or dog meat; while the south has a milder climate, so you should eat light and warm foods, such as chicken, duck and fish; and try to eat less cold fruits such as pears and water chestnuts.

8. Get enough sleep

You should ensure at least 6 hours of sleep every day. Adequate sleep is beneficial to storing yang energy and accumulating yin essence.
