Why do I feel dizzy when I wake up from sleep? It turns out it is related to these factors

Feeling dizzy after waking up from sleep is a very common phenomenon. Most people have experienced this symptom in daily life, but what exactly causes dizziness after waking up from sleep? Many people don’t know this, so let’s learn together why we feel dizzy when we wake up from sleep!

Dizziness can be divided into two categories:

One is rotational vertigo, which is mostly caused by dysfunction of the vestibular nervous system and cerebellum, and is characterized by a feeling of tipping over, with a feeling of oneself swaying or the scenery spinning; the other is general vertigo, which is mostly caused by systemic diseases, and is characterized by a feeling of dizziness, with a heavy head and light feet, and often occurs when getting up.

Diseases that cause dizziness can be divided into the following categories:

1. Anemia

People with anemia usually feel dizzy after getting up. Since dizziness is a common phenomenon, it is easily ignored. You should go to the hospital in time to find out the cause of the disease and receive treatment.

2. Cerebral arteriosclerosis

Cerebral arteriosclerosis can cause the inner diameter of blood vessels to change and reduce blood flow in the brain, thus leading to insufficient blood and oxygen supply to the brain.

3. Cervical spondylosis

Dizziness is caused by bone hyperplasia compressing the cervical artery and affecting the blood supply to the brain.

4. Heart disease

People with heart problems may experience dizziness in the early stages. It is mainly caused by atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries of the heart, resulting in insufficient blood supply and causing ears.

5. Hypertension

Patients with hypertension often feel dizzy when they get up, and are also accompanied by discomfort such as palpitations, irritability, tinnitus, and insomnia.

6. High blood viscosity

Both hyperlipidemia and thrombocythemia will increase blood viscosity and slow blood flow, resulting in insufficient blood supply to the brain, making symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, and weakness more likely to occur in the morning.
