Is posterior pituitary hormone effective in treating hemoptysis

Is posterior pituitary hormone effective in treating hemoptysis

Posterior pituitary hormone is actually the strongest visceral vasoconstrictor, which can help reduce bleeding problems in internal organs. However, you should also be careful when taking these drugs to reduce side effects, and you should consult a professional doctor about the use and dosage of the drugs.

1. Posterior pituitary hormone is the strongest visceral vasoconstrictor. This reduces blood flow to all internal organs, thereby reducing portal blood flow and lowering portal pressure. The clinical use of vasopressin is limited by its multiple side effects, which are related to its potent vasoconstrictor properties, including ischemia of the heart and peripheral organs, arrhythmias, hypertension, and intestinal ischemia.

2. Continue to use the highest effective dose for up to 24 hours to minimize side effects. The continuous intravenous infusion of posterior pituitary hormone is 0.2-0.4U/min, which can be increased to a maximum of 0.8U/min. For those who are gradually controlled, reduce the dosage by half after 24 hours.

3. Nitroglycerin should be administered intravenously at the same time, with an initial dose of 40ug/min, which can be increased to a maximum of 400ug/min and adjusted to maintain systolic blood pressure > 90mmHg.

4. Intravenous drip: 5-10u each time. Add 5% glucose solution into 500ml and drip slowly. The number of administrations per day can be determined as appropriate, with the maximum dose being 20u each time. In emergency, 5-10 units of this product can be added to 20 ml of 5% glucose solution and injected slowly while closely observing for any adverse reactions. Intramuscular injection: 5-10u each time.
