What to do with the pits left by acne? 7 medical beauty treatments to remove pits

Although the acne of many people has healed, it is left with acne scars, whether they are raised or sunken, which seriously affects the facial image. The treatment of acne scars is more difficult than the treatment of acne. Ordinary skin care products cannot effectively treat acne scars. Professional scar removal treatment must rely on scientific medical cosmetic methods.

At present, the treatment methods for atrophic scars (depressed type) mainly include chemical peeling, mechanical dermabrasion/microdermabrasion, laser therapy, scar excision, skin transplantation, tissue filling, microneedling, etc.

1. Chemical peel

Also known as chemical peel, it uses fruit acid, salicylic acid, trichloroacetic acid, Jessner's solution, etc. as peeling agents to destroy the original scarred skin and promote skin renewal and repair.

2. Mechanical dermabrasion/microdermabrasion

That is, the surface layer of the skin is mechanically removed to promote skin regeneration.

3. Laser treatment

Different types of lasers are an effective treatment for acne scars, and both carriage-type and roller-type scars are good candidates for this treatment.

Scar Resection

Scar incision and suturing techniques, as well as tissue augmentation, provide more precision and effectiveness in the treatment of acne scars.

5. Skin transplantation

Skin grafting is a surgical treatment for scars that involves removing scar tissue and then implanting a skin graft into the scar area.

6. Tissue filling

For example, fat tissue augmentation involves injecting fat into scar tissue to improve scar contours. There are other fillers, such as autologous collagen, bovine collagen, hyaluronic acid, etc., which can also be used as tissue fillers on depressed scars. However, due to the high incidence of side effects of fillers, the currently recommended material is hyaluronic acid.

7. Microneedle

Microneedle is a new technology that uses the needles on a microneedle roller to puncture the skin and promote skin regeneration. However, it is contraindicated for patients who are undergoing anticoagulant treatment, skin infection, collagen injection, or other tissue fillers within six months, as well as patients with keloids.
