What to do if the knee bone is dislocated

What to do if the knee bone is dislocated

Knee bone dislocation may occur in life. Many people suffer accidental injuries or falls due to carelessness. Therefore, we should pay attention to avoid falls in daily life, and manually reposition and fix the dislocated parts.

1. First, to prevent the patient from falling and getting injured again, help him sit or lie down, check for other injuries, check the distal pulse, keep the patient quiet, warm and prevent shock. Usually, sitting is the most comfortable position.

2. Fixing the dislocated part is the most appropriate way to relieve pain. For self-help, you can use magazines, thick newspapers or cardboard to support your elbows. In addition, use a triangular bandage to fix your elbows to your chest to avoid shoulder joint movement and reduce pain. Eating is prohibited because you may need general anesthesia. You can chat to distract the patient to reduce pain. Use ice to reduce pain and swelling. If you want to move the patient, try to let her move. If she cannot move automatically, help her by supporting her elbows and wrists. At the same time, you can use a small pillow or cushion to place between the inside of the injured upper limb and the chest.

3. If the patient can bear the pain, it is best to immediately reposition the arm. For shoulder dislocation, you can consider holding the patient's elbow with both hands at a 90-degree angle, and the rescuer's other foot under the armpit of the affected part, and pull forward and downward with force, which may restore it to its original state.
