What are the symptoms of liver fibrosis?

Liver fibrosis is not easy to detect in the early stages, and many people only notice it after it has further worsened. Liver fibrosis may return to normal, but the possibility of developing into cirrhosis is very small, so physical examinations and other work must be done regularly to ensure that you are in a healthy state.

Severe liver fibrosis may cause the following:

Abdominal mass, upper abdominal mass and distension, upper abdominal mass, abdominal pain with jaundice, portosystemic collateral circulation

Strictly speaking, liver fibrosis does not have any clinical symptoms. It is mainly caused by various factors that damage the liver, leading to clinical symptoms of hepatitis or further aggravation of cirrhosis. The main manifestations are as follows:

1. Fatigue and weakness

2. Loss of appetite

Sometimes accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

3. Chronic indigestion

Abdominal bloating, constipation or diarrhea, dull pain in the liver area, etc. Clinically, some patients have no obvious history of chronic liver disease and are only discovered after further examination.

4. Chronic gastritis

Many patients with chronic hepatitis experience stomach-area symptoms such as acid reflux, belching, hiccups, upper abdominal pain, and upper abdominal fullness.

5. Bleeding

Chronic hepatitis affects the synthesis of prothrombin and other coagulation factors due to decreased liver function. The clinical manifestations of liver fibrosis often include spider angiomas, epistaxis, gingival bleeding, purple spots or bleeding spots on the skin and mucous membranes, and women often have excessive menstruation. The appearance of the above symptoms often indicates that liver fibrosis has developed to the stage of cirrhosis.
