What are the adverse effects of always being constipated?

I believe that most people don’t pay much attention to the harm of constipation in our lives, but in fact constipation is not just a problem of defecation. Long-term constipation can also damage our liver, easily cause hemorrhoids and anal fissures, and even reduce the chance of fertility.

1. Damage to the liver

Constipation damages our liver function. When feces accumulate in the intestines for a long time, toxic substances are reabsorbed into the liver, which will damage liver function.

2. Hemorrhoids and anal fissures

Hemorrhoids and anal fissures are caused by long-term constipation, excessive force during bowel movements, which causes the anal mucosa to be twisted and vomited out, and poor venous return, which can lead to hemorrhoids over time. Anal fissures can also occur if feces scratches the anal canal, forming ulcers and wounds.

3. Reduce the chance of fertility

The intestines of women with long-term constipation may produce a substance that can interfere with the function of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian system, hinder ovulation, and thus reduce the chance of fertility.

4. Chloasma and acne

Killing beauty, long-term constipation increases the burden on the liver, toxins in the body cannot be expelled in time, the body's endocrine system malfunctions, and hormone metabolism is disordered, which leads to abnormal facial pigmentation, chloasma, and acne on the skin.

5. Cause obesity

If the old stool in the intestines is not eliminated in time and is repeatedly absorbed, it can lead to obesity.

6. Causes stroke

The incidence of cardiovascular diseases caused by increased abdominal pressure due to constipation and holding the breath to defecate is increasing year by year, such as angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, and stroke.
