What are the hazards of nuclear radiation?

The harm caused by nuclear radiation to the human body is immeasurable. It will affect the body's physiological functions, causing high sensitivity, causing nausea and vomiting, and may also lead to edema.

1. The mechanism of radiation damage to the human body is that it ionizes and excites the biological mechanism. The targeted radiation effect on the DNA of cells causes a series of biochemical reactions in the cells, which will directly act on the nucleic acid and protein of the body to destroy the body's functions and affect physiological functions. It can also cause the body to become highly sensitive.

2. If exposed to radiation for a long time, acute initial symptoms will appear, including nausea, vomiting, fever and diarrhea. The duration of symptoms varies from patient to patient, and the symptoms will be relieved according to individual conditions. If the symptoms are severe, infection will occur, bleeding will occur, and gastrointestinal symptoms will occur. Generally speaking, these symptoms will be relieved after treatment.

3. After nuclear radiation, edema will occur in the irradiated area depending on the dose, and blisters will appear on the dry scalp, causing pain and necrosis. Local skin damage usually lasts for several weeks or months. If the symptoms are more severe, this symptom is difficult to cure. This is mainly because nuclear power plant workers eat a lot.

Note:

When entering an area where the air is seriously contaminated by radiation, be sure to cover your mouth and nose with a handkerchief or towel to prevent inhalation of radioactive substances, wear a hat, raincoat, gloves and boots, and do not use contaminated water.
