How to clean a powder puff?

When using a powder puff, girls need to pay attention to the correctness of the method. They must pay attention to keeping it clean and hygienic, not letting their skin be harmed and irritated, and also achieve better whitening effects. Powder puffs will inevitably breed bacteria after being used for a long time. At this time, you should not use it repeatedly. Only by cleaning it regularly can you keep it hygienic. So what is the method for cleaning powder puffs?

Since base makeup products have a high oil content (especially liquid foundation and cream foundation), too much foundation residue on the powder puff will affect the evenness and fit of the makeup, and easily breed bacteria, affecting skin health. Therefore, the sponge needs to be cleaned more frequently, about once a week is appropriate (the powder puff used for powder cake can be cleaned once every 2 weeks).

It is best to check the sponge before cleaning. The texture must be dense before cleaning, otherwise it will easily break after washing. Also, the sponge should not be cleaned too often. A dirty and old sponge will not be able to completely clean out the dirt inside, and its elasticity will have lost its ability to be used anymore. It is better to replace the old with a new one. For the base makeup to be even and clean, it can be maintained!

1. Use makeup remover, neutral soap or facial cleanser, pour an appropriate amount directly onto the sponge that has been soaked in water to create foam.

2. Use your palms to repeatedly pinch and release the sponge to thoroughly clean out the dirt and foundation inside the sponge.

3. Rinse off the detergent with plenty of water, being careful not to leave any residue.

4. Use several paper towels or clean, absorbent towels to press the sponge to absorb the moisture. Then place it in a cool, ventilated place to allow it to dry naturally.

Note: Never rub the sponge when cleaning, as this will cause the sponge to be easily pulled, making it less elastic, and more likely to cause scaling. It is best to use disposable powder puffs, sponges, and eye shadow sticks that are commonly used when applying eye shadow. These tools have a strong ability to absorb cosmetics and are most likely to get dirty. Many beauty stores sell disposable sponges and eye shadow sticks, which are cheap and safe to use, and there is no need to worry about the breeding of bacteria.

Through the above introduction, everyone is very clear about how to clean the powder puff. As long as you follow the above requirements and precautions, you don’t have to worry about affecting your skin. In addition, skin care and maintenance must be taken seriously in order to achieve better results and continuously improve your skin condition.
