What are the tips for cleaning kettle scale

Kettle is an electrical appliance that every household uses. It mainly helps us find fresh water sources and process cold water into drinkable hot water. It not only helps us, but also helps us find better hot water sources. If you use the kettle for a long time, scale will be produced, and it is difficult to clean after the scale settles. So what are the methods for cleaning the scale of the kettle?

Method 1: Descaling with vinegar

This method is the simplest and most practical method. As we all know, the main component of scale is carbonate such as calcium carbonate. The acetic acid in vinegar will react with it to produce water-soluble minerals and carbon dioxide gas. White vinegar can be bought in general supermarkets. Put 10% of white vinegar into the kettle scale, then fill it with water, boil it and let it sit for about an hour, then brush it. Aged vinegar can also be used, but the effect of aged vinegar is not as good as white vinegar.

2. Descaling the kettle by boiling sweet potatoes

Put more than half of the sweet potatoes in a new kettle, fill it with water, and cook the sweet potatoes. Next time you boil water, there will be no scale accumulation. But be careful not to scrub the inner wall of the kettle after boiling sweet potatoes, otherwise the descaling effect will be lost. For old kettles that are full of scale, after boiling them once or twice using the above method, not only will the original scale gradually fall off, but it will also prevent scale from accumulating again. 3. Baking soda to remove scale

Generally, the heating plate of electric kettles is made of aluminum. When boiling water in the electric kettle, scale is easily formed. Generally, we can put 1 teaspoon of baking soda and boil it for a few minutes to remove the scale. Alternatively, you can pour in about 500 grams of 1% baking soda water, shake it gently, and the scale can be removed.

4. Boil eggs to remove scale

Generally, electric kettles will accumulate hard and difficult-to-remove scale after being used for a long time. If you use it to boil eggs twice, you will get the desired effect. Crush two egg shells slightly, put them in a bottle, then fill half a pot of water, stir with a blender or spoon, then boil it, let it sit for about half an hour, pour out the egg shells, and rinse it twice with clean water.

5. Use potato peels to remove scale

Put the potato peels in it, add appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil, and cook for about 10 minutes before removing them.

6. Descaling with bleach

You can go to the supermarket and buy some bleach, put in 2-3 teaspoons of bleach, add a small amount of water and rinse once or twice, it will be very clean.

7. Magnetization

Putting a magnet in the kettle not only prevents scale accumulation, but also magnetizes the boiled water, which also has the effect of preventing and treating constipation and pharyngitis.

Using the kettle for a long time will easily cause scale in the kettle. This still depends on our correct cleaning method. It is recommended that you can choose to use some bleaching powder, potato peels or taro, etc. These can not only soften the scale, but also reduce the occurrence of scale.
