How to clean the range hood?

The range hood is an electrical appliance that people use to solve the problem of kitchen fume. However, after long-term use, the surface and inner cavity of the range hood will be filled with oil and dirt, affecting its normal exhaust effect. It can only be used normally if it is disassembled and cleaned correctly. Generally, the cleaning process of a range hood without a filter cover is as follows:

1. First, cut off the power supply of the range hood to ensure personal safety.

2. The outer shell surface and mesh cover of the range hood should generally be cleaned according to the cycle specified in the instruction manual. Use a soft cloth dipped in a small amount of warm water with neutral detergent to wipe them. Wipe dry with a soft dry cloth.

3. Disassembly and cleaning of the impeller and the inner cavity of the volute:

(1) Unscrew the screws of the grille cover and grille, and remove the cover and grille.

(2) Then unscrew the fastening screws of the wind wheel and remove the wind wheel.

(3) Soak the removed parts in warm water with a neutral detergent, wash them with a soft cloth, and wipe them dry.

(4) Use a soft cloth with a small amount of warm water and neutral detergent to clean the dirt inside the volute, then wipe it dry;

(5) Reassemble the above components in the reverse order of disassembly;

(6) After installation, check whether the oil circuit of the equipment is smooth and whether the sealing ring on the volute can be sealed;

(7) Please clean the impeller, volute, oil nipple and oil drain pipe according to the period specified in the instructions.

4. Things to note when cleaning the impeller and volute:

(1) When cleaning, water cannot enter the motor and electrical parts.

(2) When cleaning, do not pull the internal connecting wires forcefully, otherwise the connection points may loosen, causing the risk of electric shock.

(3) It is prohibited to use flammable solvents such as alcohol, banana oil, gasoline, etc. to clean the range hood to prevent fire accidents.

(4) When cleaning, wear rubber gloves to prevent injury from the sharp edges of metal parts.

(5) The removed parts should be handled with care to avoid deformation. Be especially careful when cleaning the impeller and do not touch or move the counterweight of the blades, otherwise it will cause the entire machine to vibrate and increase noise.

For those range hoods with filter covers, since the oil smoke has been filtered before entering the appliance, the internal structure does not need to be cleaned. You only need to clean the appliance casing and filter cover according to the cycle specified in the instructions.

Although the range hood can help us purify the air and reduce the occurrence of grease, the oil bottle filter of the range hood will also accumulate a lot of oil stains.
