Can I use gasoline to clean the range hood?

Many people will use some very special methods to clean their range hoods, but there are some methods that cannot be used casually. If you use this method to clean the range hood, it is likely to cause some problems. For example, you must not use our more common gasoline to clean the range hood, otherwise it is likely to cause the range hood to explode, so you must pay attention.

1. Step 1: Unplug the power supply. Remove the oil storage box of the range hood, pour out the oil in the box, and clean the oil storage box (after the oil storage box is cleaned, you can stick a layer of plastic wrap or put a small plastic bag inside the box before use to absorb the waste oil on the oil storage box. Remove and replace it every once in a while, and the oil storage box will stay clean).

2. Step 2: Unscrew the screws on the range hood mesh, remove the mesh and clean it (Master Liang revealed a trick for this step: first put a piece of newspaper on the mesh, then spray detergent, let it sit for two or three minutes, and then wipe it with the newspaper. It is quick and clean).

3. Step 3: Spray detergent around the flue inside the range hood. Detergent can be mixed with dishwashing liquid and warm water in advance, or you can buy kitchen detergent with strong cleaning power (such as fume cleaner, etc.) in the supermarket. After spraying for two or three minutes, plug in the power supply and let the motor in the range hood run. At this time, oil and dirty water can be seen flowing out together. Repeat the spraying until the dirty water becomes clear. Depending on the degree of scale, it usually takes 3 rinses to clean it.

4. Step 4: Use a hard sheet to scrape the solidified oil stains on the outside of the flue (the most important thing to note in this step is: there is a coating on the outside of the flue, so it cannot be wiped with a too sharp sheet or steel wool).

5. Step 5: Use a rag or newspaper dipped in detergent to clean the outside of the flue until the oil stains on it are basically cleaned.

6. Step 6: Install the cleaned mesh cover, oil storage box, etc., and the cleaning is completed.

If you want to remove the range hood, the first thing you need to do is unplug the main power supply and pour out the dirt in the box inside the range hood. Only in this way can the range hood be completely cleaned. If you are afraid that the oil stains cannot be completely cleaned during cleaning, you can also use plastic wrap, which is also a very good method.
