What to do if the skin becomes infected and inflamed

Accidental bodily injuries are unavoidable in life, and most of them occur unconsciously. Among them, skin breaks are the most common, which has a greater impact on the body, causing intense pain. In addition, the broken skin may become infected and inflamed, aggravating the progression of the disease. If you encounter this situation, you must deal with it promptly. Let’s take a look at what to do if your skin becomes infected and inflamed?

Disinfect the wound with alcohol or iodine, pay attention to the affected area and do not let it get wet. If redness, swelling, and suppuration occur, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment in time. It is not recommended to treat it by yourself to avoid delaying the disease and aggravating it.

In the early stage, debridement and disinfection are usually performed to keep the wound dry and clean. For simple small-scale injuries on the body surface, there is generally no need to consider the use of anti-infection drugs. The main thing is to keep it dry after disinfection.

You can disinfect the wound with complex iodine and then with alcohol twice a day, keeping the wound clean and dry to avoid moisture. After the scab forms and falls off, it will take several months for the skin to return to normal.

The wound should be disinfected and cleaned promptly. If disinfectant is available, iodine or alcohol can be used to disinfect the wound. After cleaning it and removing any dead skin or debris, it is best to bandage it with sterile gauze and take oral antibiotics to prevent infection. Try not to touch water during this period.

Consider bacterial infection. Povidone-iodine solution is recommended for treatment. When necessary, surgical treatment and examination are recommended. It is wise to pay attention to hygiene and eat more fresh vegetables. Active observation, etc. If there is an abscess, it needs to be incised and drained. If there is a serious infection under the nail, the nail needs to be removed. If the suppuration is not serious, antibiotics can be injected for three days first. If there is no improvement after the nail is removed, iodine tincture can be used for disinfection.

Considering the tendency of skin suppurative infection, it is recommended to use antibiotics to control the infection, and to disinfect and change the dressing regularly. If conditions permit at home, you can use iodine to disinfect and clean the gauze to bandage and fix it. As long as you take medicine and disinfect on time, you can quickly control your feelings.
