Is poor liver function contagious?

Is poor liver function contagious?

Most liver diseases are hepatitis A and B, and liver diseases are generally highly hereditary and contagious. Many people stay away from friends who have hepatitis. In fact, there is no need to do so, because there are some antibodies in our bodies that can help us prevent bacteria from entering the body. So, is poor liver function contagious?

Poor liver function is a sign of liver damage. It is not a disease in itself and is not contagious. Contagious are diseases that cause abnormal liver function, such as viral hepatitis.

If your liver function is not good, you must first find out the cause.

Taking medication, staying up late, and drinking alcohol can all cause temporary fluctuations in liver function, but once the above factors are eliminated, liver function will return to normal. In addition, some diseases can cause abnormal liver function.

1. Diseases of the liver itself, especially various types of viral hepatitis B, cirrhosis, liver abscess, liver tuberculosis, cirrhosis, fatty hepatitis, and Wilson's disease.

2. In addition to the liver, other organs and tissues of the body also carry this enzyme, so when myocarditis, pyelonephritis, lobar pneumonia, tuberculosis, type B encephalitis, common myositis, acute sepsis, typhoid fever, meningitis, malaria, cholecystitis, leptospirosis, influenza, measles, schistosomiasis, crush syndrome, etc.

3. Diseases of the bile duct, gallbladder and pancreas, and bile duct obstruction.

4. Cirrhosis and liver cancer When cirrhosis is active.

5. When bile duct diseases such as cholecystitis and cholelithiasis occur urgently.

6. In cases of acute myocardial infarction, myocarditis, and heart failure, alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase are both high. Hepatitis B patients often have chest pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, and edema. Cardiac tests showed positive signs and electrocardiogram variations. Therefore, the cause of abnormal liver function must be identified before symptomatic treatment can be given.
