Why is it easy to get drunk when drinking

Each of us has different physical constitutions. Some of us have a strong tolerance for alcohol, while others have a poor tolerance for alcohol. Some friends have mastered some tips when drinking, such as eating some bread slices before drinking, or drinking milk before drinking, so that they will not get drunk easily when drinking. It is recommended to drink less alcohol in daily life, because drinking can cause harm to the body.

Why do alcoholics develop liver and heart diseases? The culprit is a chemical substance - acetaldehyde, a metabolite of alcohol in the human body. It turns out that after alcohol enters the body, it enters the blood by direct diffusion. It is absorbed in small amounts in the mouth and stomach, and in large amounts in the small intestine. After alcohol enters the blood, it is distributed to various organs, with more distribution in the liver and brain. Alcohol, also known as ethanol, is converted into acetaldehyde by the action of alcohol dehydrogenase, a metabolic enzyme in the liver, and then converted into acetic acid by acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, and finally decomposed into non-toxic water and carbon dioxide.

However, the liver's ability to process ethanol is limited and varies greatly from person to person. People who can drink a lot are less likely to get drunk because they have more acetaldehyde dehydrogenase in their livers, which can quickly convert acetaldehyde. The average person can process 7 grams of ethanol per hour, and for people with a high alcohol tolerance this number can rise to over 10 grams. The alcohol content of a bottle of Erguotou is about 50 grams, and it takes an average person 7 hours to finish it.

There is a problem that must be paid attention to. Some friends may like to drink white wine. Through experiments, scientists have found that after drinking a common small bottle of Erguotou, it takes up to seven hours for the human body to convert the alcohol into substances that are harmless to the body. In other words, during these seven hours, our liver is running at high load, which is very harmful to the liver.
