What are the hazards of decoration pollution to human body

Now that society is developing faster and faster, people's material life is getting better and better, decoration seems to be becoming more and more widespread. The buildings you see when you go shopping are usually renovated. When it comes to decoration, there will of course be unavoidable pollution. Decoration will produce certain waste materials, and a decorated house will generally leave a smell, which are all pollution. So, what are the harms of decoration pollution to the human body? Let’s take a look below.

During home decoration, formaldehyde is the most harmful. Formaldehyde is a potential carcinogen recognized worldwide and is listed as a highly toxic chemical by the country. It can strongly irritate the eyes, skin, respiratory mucosa, etc., usually causing drowsiness, weakness, chest tightness, mental confusion, and allergies. It can eventually cause immune dysfunction, liver damage, and affect the central nervous system, leading to fetal malformations, leukemia, chronic respiratory diseases, menstrual disorders in women, acute depression, nasopharyngeal cancer and other diseases.

These harmful gases cannot be completely evaporated in a short period of time, and it may take up to a year or even longer to completely evaporate. Everyone is aware of the hazards of indoor pollution that are often associated with home decoration, but what is not known is that the intensity and degree of harm of formaldehyde pollution in the kitchen are often greater than those in the bedroom and living room. While consumers have become increasingly alert to formaldehyde pollution in bedrooms and living rooms, they often overlook the pollution caused by materials and decorations such as kitchen cabinets and countertops.

Kitchen pollution hazards mainly come from three aspects:

1. Material pollution: The volume of the cabinet occupies at least 1/3 of the kitchen. If the main raw material, artificial board, does not meet the standards, the open flame heating during cooking will inevitably accelerate the volatilization and precipitation of harmful substances such as formaldehyde;

2. Countertop pollution: In addition to the fact that some granite countertops often contain excessive amounts of radioactive substances, some materials labeled as "artificial stone" are often synthesized by mixing certain resins with cheap limestone and quartz powder, and contain a large amount of volatile benzene substances;

3. Pollution of auxiliary materials: Generally, the integrated cabinets are installed on-site. If the operation is not standardized, such as the abuse of adhesive materials, edge sealing of artificial boards or poor sealing, they will continuously release harmful substances, causing runny nose and tears and even skin rashes.

There are many hazards of decoration pollution to the human body, and these hazards are very serious. Just like a newly renovated house, there will be certain smells left over. These smells cannot be removed in a short period of time. These smells will make people feel uncomfortable. Home decoration pollution is worthy of attention. So I hope everyone will not rush to move into their new house when it has just been renovated.
